About the family
Stellan Gothic comes from a year of walking station concourses with a notebook. Signs are read at an angle, on the move, often through reflections, so the letters are square-shouldered with open apertures and a generous x-height.
The contrast axis
Contrast runs from a monoline drawing, which holds up best on backlit panels, to a sharper version with thinned joins for printed packaging and posters. Pair it with the width axis and one family covers a platform number, a stadium gate and a cereal box.
